the self - our true essence.
Through the lens of Hindu mythology and underwater photography, Kali Rising surfaces questions that are deeply present today, women's empowerment, reclaiming cultural identity, human rights and ocean conservation. The mythological characters of Hindu tradition become a powerful vehicle for these conversations, grounding them in ancestral wisdom while speaking directly to the world as we know it today.

Her skin, is the night sky.

THE ONE WHO RESTS ON WATER
Narayana rests in eternal stillness, on Shesha, the great serpent, as a lotus rises from his navel carrying Brahma, the creator of worlds.The water is not emptiness, it is pure potential, the unmanifest ground of all being. Narayana resting within it reveals that our true essence is not separate from this stillness. Nara means water, ayana means abode. He is the one who dwells in the depths, the silent witness beneath all movement, undisturbed, yet the source of everything.KALI
